Here are some thoughts on installing your flat screen TV on your home or office wall. I have completed this process many times. In fact I have become somewhat of an expert. I usually get the call from friends or family when they want a flat screen hung. Really it is very simple and quick. Try it. You just might enjoy.
Flat screen TV’s offer a household wonderful entertainment for family and friends. The quality of the pictures are getting better year after year. To be able to hang your television on the wall using TV brackets, adds a great addition to the home.
But are you comfortable doing the job yourself? Whether you can do the job yourself or not depends on your handyman skills. Are you comfortable hanging a picture or mounting shelves? How about tools? Some of the tools used to mount a TV bracket along with your flat screen TV are as follows:
Power drill
Level
Stud Finder
Pencil
Measuring tape
Screwdriver (preferably power screwdriver)
The next thing you need to ask yourself is are you comfortable with routing the cables inside your wall. If you are comfortable or familiar with installing new light fixtures or phone lines, patching and repairing drywall or touching up paint, then you will probably be fine. Basically, you just need to be somewhat handy around the house.
You will also need someone to help you lift the television up onto the TV mount once everything is in place. They can be very heavy and awkward.
When you are done mounting your TV bracket and have your display hung I think you will be quiet pleased with how nice a living room or office looks with a mounted television.
